Even the Proverbs 31 lady didn't do it all in one day!

Hi! I am really new at this whole Blog thing. Your patience is appreciated. :)

I am the wife of a wonderful man, the mother of two children that are grown with families of their own, and Elisi (Cherokee for Grandmother) of six! I am also a Teacher, Minister of the Gospel, Life Coach, Cosmetologist, Make-up Artist, and Forms Creator, Customer Service Rep & Trainer for a major corporation. I am now launching out into new waters of being a Life Coach, Organization Coach, & Time Management Coach.

My life is full, to say the least. My husband works for time, plus has his own successful photography business of shooting Senior Pics, Engagements, Weddings, Families and Pageants. I help him with some of his shoots with hair and make-up as well as directing on the set. We are both very active in our church and in our life, it is always God first. Our hearts desire is to be in the middle of His will above anything else.

In the past I have taught classes outside of church on Time Management, Organization, Personal Growth, Goal Setting, and other classes in the beauty industry. I love to be organized and having things run smoothly. It brings down the stress level. In today's society, we need less stress.

There is a big difference going to bed at night knowing that you accomplished what was needed, knowing where you are headed tomorrow, and that you will be another day closer to your God given goals. On the other hand, you can try to sleep knowing that you didn't accomplish what was needed, wondering if you will ever make your goals and felt like the day was wasted. Now don't get me wrong, even planning, you have those days that just don't work out how you have planned. That is where giving yourself grace comes in.

I use to struggle with the example set in Proverbs 31. That lady intimidated me!  I like to read through the Proverbs in a month. There are 31 days in a month and 31 chapters. It is packed with wisdom that challenges us! (i.e. the leaky roof nagging wife thing, yea:/ ) However, by the time I hit the mid 20's in the chapters, I know what is coming.

"15 She rises also while it is still night

And gives food to her household

And assigns tasks to her maids." :o

Heavens, where are my maids???? Raising at night? Say what? However, I can cook a good meal! Yeah, I’m hitting one of the three here! And the list goes on. I was reading this one day and really beating myself up pretty good. All of the sudden, my eyes began to leak because I felt the presence of my Heavenly Father walk into the room. He said, "Daughter" (See He's my Poppa God.) "She did not do it all in one day." At that point I was flooded with His love and acceptance. Yes, I needed Kleenex after that. To know that I didn't have to be a modern day super wife/mom/business owner... wow! That was wonderful. It was liberating!

Now I know that this is a daily process. I work like it depends on me and pray like it depends on Him and I thank Him for His grace and mercy daily. (Thank You Pastor Linda Jackson for that nugget!) He will make up where I slack. That is part of the awesome, supernatural God I serve. If I could do it in the natural, all that I am called to do, I wouldn't need Him. (And that nugget too!) However, I know that I need Him beside me each step of the way.

He is a good Father and He will direct my steps. In any adventure that He leads me into. So, now we are off! Let's blaze the trails and follow His lead. He will order our steps. Just follow HIs.
